Our Services
You already know the world is a risky place, and apparently getting more so. We think it is best to be as prepared as possible. While you can buy freeze-dried everything online, it is harder to prepare your most important environment (your house) for the challenges on the horizon. Whether it is your main residence or a second (or third) home, we offer strategies and designs to reduce risk and increase your odds.
Contact us today to discuss your project.
Step 1: Assessment.
The first step for all our projects is an assessment of your current environment. We perform a confidential evaluation to identify potential risks and areas for improvement. We provide you with a custom report at the end of this phase. This report also serve as the basis for the next step, should you decide to continue on. If you only need the assessment we will also provide recommendations to improve your environment (DIY) as part of the report. Cost $600-$1,200 depending on property size and location.
Step 2: Programming.
In this phase, we meet with you to discuss your contingency and preparedness goals based on the outcome of the evaluation and determine which level of service will best serve your needs. We then spend some time together developing several architectural programs as foundation for the next steps. Cost: $300-$1,000 depending on project scale.
Step 3: Design and Documentation.
Once we have defined the project scope we will proceed with the development of the design and documentation of the project. The end product of this phase is a set of construction documents you can use to bid out your project to a contractor. This phase can range from a few months up to a year and is the longest phase of our services. This phase mirrors a standard architecture design process. The design phases include conceptual design, design development, construction documentation, and bidding/negotiation. Construction phase services are optional but usually recommended. Costs for this phase range from 10%-20% of the total construction cost depending on project size, location, and complexity. Specialist consultants or contractors may be included in this phase should your project require their assistance.
